Two new Volkswagen Atlas trim levels make their debut for 2020: SE w/ Technology R-Line and SEL R-Line. These two trims join the returning S, SE, SE w/ Technology, SEL and SEL Premium trims for an impressive lineup of seven total trim levels. All 2020 Atlas models have three rows of seating and can carry up to seven passengers.
The 2020 Volkswagen Atlas S is motivated by a turbocharged, four-cylinder engine which produces 235 horsepower and 258 pound-feet of torque. The six other trims utilize a 3.6-liter V6 engine with an output of 276 horsepower and 266 pound-feet of torque. Both engines are paired to an eight-speed automatic transmission. Front-wheel drive is standard, though all-wheel drive is available for all 2020 Volkswagen Atlas models that utilize the V6 engine.
Featuring an interior volume of 174.3 cubic feet, the 2020 Volkswagen Atlas is spacious even by SUV standards. The 2020 Atlas has a standard cargo capacity of 20.6 cubic feet and a maximum cargo capacity of 96.8 cubic feet. The second and third rows of seating were designed for easy folding, allowing drivers to change the SUV’s seating configuration quickly and conveniently.
Available 2020 Volkswagen Atlas comfort and convenience features include: Heated seating, leather upholstery, remote engine start, Volkswagen Digital Cockpit, an auto-dimming rearview mirror, three-zone automatic climate control, adaptive cruise control, two 12-volt power outlets, ambient interior lighting, a 10-way adjustable driver’s seat and keyless access.
